Ulyana Sergeenko fall/winter 2011-2012

This Thursday was one of the most sacred day in my biography, when finally I received an opportunity to visit the fashion show.I was one of those lucky devils who had a chance to see the debut collection of Ulyana Sergeenko. At first, when I entered the territory of "Artplay"(the place where the show was held, kind of former factory,I guess),I didn't feel awkward,I felt AWFULLY AWKWARD,as it was my first event of that kind and I didn't even realize at all how to act and,I'd say, serve myself. There were a lot of people around me pretending to be super stylish and eccentric who drank champagne and ate ice-cream,that I didn't even try to hang up with them (I'm too shy and even antisocial sometimes, yeah). At the same time I was filled by the emotions.I felt happiness of being a part of something beautiful and fascinating and a terrible desire to be bathed in cold water, because of the shame and unbearable swelter.

Finally,I took my seat which was pretty awesome,as it was on the 3d row behind Ksusha Sobchak and other cool people. What about the show and collection itself-it was just marvelous,I was in love. The looks were magnificent, and I can admit that I'd wear everything, for sure.It was a beautiful mixture of American 50s and Russian folk, some looks even had something from royal family in themselves. One of the most remarkable looks was one with muff-truly chic. The only thing, which confused me was footwear.Sometimes it was really familiar to McQueen.I'm not saying that it's a sin or some kind of a crime,on the contrary I believe that there's nothing wrong to admire and to be inspired by the genius.A single word about the atmosphere reigning on the runway:in spite of the fact that it was fall/winter collection, runway was as beautiful as blooming meadow.I heard the birds singing and it gave me such a relaxing and fresh feeling!

Leaving the show on my aching because of the heels feet,I felt so pleased and happy! At the end, I realize that I have a strong desire to work and live in the sphere fashion and journalism for fair.It was my first fashion show and it was a wonderful experience.

Here are some pics, though I'm not a great shooter.

Sometimes I come to the idea that I'm the one of these depressive girls who wait for the magic changes which are supposed to be brought by the beginning of spring. The worst thing that it's really so.But what else should I do living such a miserable teenage life if not hoping for the best?Being honest,I'm rather tired of this crap.
I bought a ticket to Pete Doherty's show which takes place at the end of march.God,I'm feeling so cool and I believe I'm going to meet there a boy which will be as cool as me and we'll be cool together(this is not the only reason why I'm going to the show) .I'm hoping to go to the Russian fashion week, somehow I don't know, and meet new people and take a lot of photos(I've had a strong inspiration by backstage photos recently).I'M GOING TO WEAR MY STUNNING HAT.In May I will go to st.Petersburg and have an AMAZING time with my friends which I haven't seen for ages.
So spring is so promising.

some wonderful faces from LFW.

A week ago I promised to restart my blog after the successful passing of my english project,as I was so desperately inspired by the discussing designers and fashion blogs with my friend Nick.I'd really like to make it more(MORE) popular, beautiful and interesting, which is quite a business,as it's hard to find smt appealing in the world of fashion when you sit in front of your laptop, having no ability to visit even the one bloody fashion show and doing absolutely nothing. But,if you're having a willingness, everything is possible, alright.
So,I believe that you've already seen the latest couture shows,I cannot but express my opinion about Christian Dior. When I was surfing through the collection,I had a constant feeling of watching Disney movie or smt like that.To say that it is beautiful is to say absolutely nothing,IT'S MARVELOUS.The first part of the collection consists of devilish red dresses(Lindsey Wixon was just born for this part, she looks very organically) and the second part is airy and pastel.I wonder if John Galliano wanted to say something symbolic by this contrast.

I'm dreaming of having a dress like these for my prom.

dissapointment and coats

HEY-HEY!So guys,I have to say "I'm sorry" for not writing during such a big period of time. And it's rather natural that you have forgotten about me and my "blog".All of my time goes on lessons, homework, social networking and sleeping. It's a school thing, you know.I've spent two sleepless night thinking about the subjet of a post that I'm going to create. So thanks god after reading the latest issue of rus vogue the topic appeared in my head by fukking MAGIC.After closing the last page of the magazine, the only thing that I wanted to do it's to roar of despair. So,here comes THE BRAND NEW EDITOR.Her manner of feeding fashion returns me back to soviet union. The only suitable word is "tasteless".So I'm full of doubts about buying the next number. It will be more clever to buy a magazine about cooking.
Today I opened my facebook inbox and read a message containig a question asking what to wear this autumn.Certainly, the answer is quite obvious.I think the best thing to wear is a coat.Fortunately there are billion types and designs of coats from classic to smt super-crazy-extra-ordinary.I decided to make a little review through the fall 2010 rtw collections. Here are my favorites.

You can wear smt black like dracula, camel like models at Chloe and Hermes shows, smt cozy like Dolce and Gabanna and something extra-cute as Miu Miu.I'm fascinated by the kenzo red coat.Sonia's is awesome, but too freaky to wear daily.I wish I bought kenzo one. It's so hilarious that I'm nearly crying. As my friend Sasha sais:"Tears aren't money, girl".
P.S. I don't wanna speak about leather jackets,I'm tired of'em.

grunge tuesday

In this season I observed a real blast from the past on the runway. It's an insane mixture of decades: womanly silhouettes from the 50s, clear forms of 60s,bohemian chic of 70s and grunge grubbiness of 90s...So today the talk is going to be about the last. Grunge as a musical genre took place at the end of 80s untill the mid 90s (untill I was born haha).Like any musical direction, grunge generated a whole subculture and the style of clothes, naturally. For me the only person it's associated with is Kurt Cobain, and not only because Nirvana is the only grunge band wnich I'm really fond of.He's the one and only who's a real icon of 90s.

What is grunge? For me it's youth, difficult teen age, which has its own charm,I think. So,if you want to look like a daughter of Kurt (or like Kurt himself,OK),you should follow some rules to create a grunge look.
The general feature of grunge is multilayer clothes. You can wear a tee under a slightly cast-off cardigan and put on a denim or lether jacket over this magnificence.Don't forget about the pair of raggy jeans,"killed" converse sneakers,dr.martens or militari boots. The tee can be replaced by the striped or celled formless shirt(don't stuck it into pants,it's for intellectuals not for rebellious souls as we are) and the jeans can be replaced by the long skirt.Everything should be messy but stylish! And at last you got to untie your hair, put on cap-toe and you're turning into the brand-new grunge star,a rebel from 90s,call it as you like, because anyway you're trendy.

school is coming

So,I have to face the truth:I have to go to school in two weeks and begin to study for the whole days and nights till my eyes starts to bleed. No,I'm not against the idea of visiting school again,on the contrary I like it!It's a good chance to wear all this beautiful fall clothes which I had been missing for these three piping-hot summer months. What to wear to school has always been an important,I'd say, essential problem for hundreds of teen-girls.You should be both neat and chic, and also feel comfortable. From my point of view, the life wouldn't be possible without HOODIES.
You can wear it with leather or denim jacket like Abbey.

Though, wearing hoodie as the main part of image is pretty cool too.It gives a feeling of kinda messy hip-hop style, which I adore.

Certainly, hoodies are tend to be very comfortable, but you shouldn't forget about school uniform.Fashion uniform!"It's a school, not playground"-as my mommy once told me.There's always an alternative to dull school clothes. For example, you can wear extremely relevant in this season pants rolled on the ankle or wide flared one and cute t-shirt,laced shirt or blouse with beautiful bow.Modestly? Yes. Dull? No.

If you're sticking to more conservative style, you should pay attention to Proenza Schouler fall/winter collection. The guys show us the models as the students of some english boarding school:pleated skirts, cellular сoats and fur jackets a-la children of war.And look at this boots, they're just AWESOME!

and at last I'd say:STUDY AND BEHAVE WELL DURING THE YEAR!

ethnique Sunday

Sometimes I wonder why in such multinational state as Russia, which consists of hundreds…no,thousands of different nationalities people wear such boring and grey clothes.I don’t speak about wearing a hip of different clothes according to one’s origin,I’m about to ask a question, how can they leave this fact without attention and how can’t they be inspired by it? While we continue to be such slow-minded,designers are emboding the ideas into the real life and point their fingers in order to show us what to do!But not only them who teach us how to adapt ethinque to life, look at my beloved Abbey Lee whose style is just HILARIOUS
Check-it :)

bb,Alyona

When I closed the last page of august issue of Russian Vogue, I thought quietly to myself : “It’s certainly such issue which I will do read again not even twice.Alyona is doing well and her magazine is really getting better and more interesting!”.What an epic fail had been waiting for me when in two days ,in fresh Grazia I read that Doletskaya has left the post of editor-in-chief of this notable magazine. However, the epic fail had been waiting not only for the girl Ksusha living in fumy Moscow, but also for the boys Karl and Jean Paul living in Paris, and for the others boys&girls from the fashion world.OK,Alyona isn’t dead, she’s alive and probably preparing to struck our minds by something brand-new,but this isn’t the point of my message .The last issue under Alyona’s editing really had a great influence on me.It gave a kind of a push to change the way I’m living, the way I’m perceiving myself and my appearance.(Chekhov said : “People should be beautiful in every way—in their faces, in the way they dress, in their thoughts and in their innermost selves”. no damn avoiding) Every time I read about French women the voice inside me crying into my ears: “Look like them!!Be smart and love yourself!! Eat baguette, bite cheese, drink wine and SMILE!!!” It’s impossible for us to be French, because we’re not. And it’s not necessary! But it won’t hurt us to be a lil’ bit like them.So from what should I start my difficult way to enlightenment?

1. I’m going to be more gentle and delicate to people and stop looking at strangers with the stare of Jack the ripper.

2. I’ll stop tearing myself by self-analysis and begin to take and love myself as I am. As the god had created me.
3.I’m going to wear heels more often and work out my own style:simple but refined, floppy (to remain to be myself) but elegant. And I’m going to buy clothes using THE BRAIN (“look how cute they are” doesn’t work anymore).
So,here’s the inspiration.

How surprised I was when I found such awesome trousers in my wardrobe!(by the way,I love them ,but they didn’t match with my hipster bomber jacket)

Dior,Cloe and Michael Kors fall ready-to-wear collections are giving me creeps. They are so inspirational!I’d wear everything…er…practically everything.
